There are advantages to being gainfully unemployed. I COULD reread The Brothers Karamazov one final time. I COULD play Rock, Paper, & Scissors with an imaginary opponent. I COULD recite poetry to my heart's content. I COULD memorize the Periodic Table. On the other hand, I could do none of these things. My choice.
