Freddy Locke Hudson II is 44 today! At one point during peak labor (10-18-81 4:32 AM) his mother looked at me and screamed, "You got to do something. I can't take this pain any longer!!!" She had maxed out on painkillers without stopping the labor process all together. (I think I might have partly related a few yrs later when I had a kidney stone)

I smiled and said, "I did my part. Now it's time to do your part." The look she gave me was not nice, downright threatening. I thought about saying, "I'm going to step out now. Call me when it's over," but I didn't, which is why I'm still here to tell about it.
