Spring is still waiting one step ahead of us. The stark realism of a cold, cold winter's morning is all too real. I left a cake out in the cold last night, and now it's all frozen from being out in the elements. I don't think I can take it 'cause it took so long to bake it and I'll never have that recipe again. I'll still serve it tonight and maybe the guests won't be able to tell that the cake was out in the driveway all night. Maybe the sweet green icing will hold up. Maybe, just maybe.
