Frye Gallaird & Cynthia Tucker - The Southernization of America - Notes

This short book chronicles how the authors, distinguished Southern journalists, say American politics has been Southernized starting in recent years from Nixon's Southern strategy thru the Trump years when the Southernization  went on steroids whereas the Imani Perry book says the country has been Southernized from the beginning and Heather Cox Richardson describes how the South actually won the Civil War in the decades afterward.  There is room for different points of view.
