Supreme Court nominee Brett M. Kavanaugh said the teen’s age was critical to his dissent in the high-profile case and noted that the Supreme Court has upheld parental consent laws that can delay abortions.
Earlier, Kavanaugh testified that the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling that legalized abortion was settled precedent. But he did not say whether the case was correctly decided.
