Blackbirds in Funky Town

Here in Funky Town (aka Pelham) it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. Lights are up all along our street as several of our neighbors try to outdo each other in elevating their light bill for December. We had a Hitchcockian moment early this morning as thousands of black birds settled on our front yard looking for food I suppose. Then they flew away. For a chilling moment I thought they might attack our humble abode but we were spared. What does this have to do with Christmas? Nothing, but it's the best story I have on this Tuesday morning.
