This is the most entertaining movie that I have seen in a long, long time. It helps that I read the book, which makes it easy to follow the plot. The plot is great and Matthew McConaughey is even greater as Mickey Haller, the defense hero of Michael Connelly's series of books based this character.
The Mickey Haller novels have great plots, but the key thing is the character of Mickey Haller. He is self-confident, almost arrogant, and uapologetic in defending his calling as a defense attorney.
Matthew McConaughey NAILS Mickey Haller! Having read the books, I can say that this is the most pleasing part of the movie, that and the movie following the book.

Allot of the reviews are being very harsh. There is loads of crap in the cinemas at present this is a good show.
While I have yet to see this movie, I wouldnt be suprised if the TownCar could act better than Mr. McConaughey.
