Had my second Pfizer shot yesterday. The CVS person administering the needle was named Bridgett. She was very gentle with me. After injecting the needle which I barely felt, she said okay now are you ready for the shot? We both laughed. I am tender and have to be treated with baby care. After a busy night of tossing and turning and wild dreams and palpitations I am here to talk about it today.
The borderline this morning between sleep and wakefulness was a Roman one with splashing fountains, the Vatican, troops marching, and narrow Roman streets complete with street singers.
But I achieve full awakening in Pelham, Alabama. Overnight rain, the cool sweetness of April in the South. Rome is for another day.
