Part of the extreme application process for joining the FBI is a rigorous polygraph exam. One lie and you are dismissed from the possibility of being hired.
Lies over drug use are the most common. Our joke of a POTUS who criticizes the agency would never have been hired coming out of Wharton. His Daddy's money would not have helped him.
