Hillary Rodham Clinton - Living History (Book Review)

I am reading this autobiography that Hillary published in 2003 after the White House years and during her Senate career representing New York.  I expect to do a number of posts on this book for I find it very enlightening to read what she wrote in 2003 given what is happening now.  Here is a good example.

Hillary attracted national attention for giving a controversial speech at her Wellesley graduation in 1969.  She talked about the uncertain future faced by college graduates in her class and the chaos that seemed to be prevalent in the world at that time largely colored by Viet Nam.    Not much has changed since 1969, has it?  When has the future not seemed uncertain for any of us?

Here is one of her comments regarding her speech.

"The accolades and attacks turned to be a preview of things to come: I have never been as good as or as bad as my most fervid supporters and opponents claimed."  P. 42
