Robert B. Parker's Killing the Blues by Michael Brandman
As a change of pace I occasionally read a light crime fiction novel. Robert B. Parker, perhaps the most successful crime novelist of our time, died a couple of years ago and a man named Michael Brandman has picked up his Jesse Stone character. I see this at Wal Mart and read it. This is my first and probably last Jesse Stone book. Well, it certainly is light, too light to get me connected to the character to read Parker's Stone novels. Crime fiction can be entertaining, but when I get to the end of the story I always wonder why I read the book in the first place. Case in point here.
