I have never listened to a book. People tell me I should since I am in the car driving so much. For me listening would not be the same as reading. So far I have resisted listening.
I have listened to only one book, To Kill a Mockingbird.
I would say Yes - some are called Audiobooks!It is just a different medium - but you still gain the knowledge of the entire book - you know the plot, characters, etc...Oh yes they are great for long trips.I also really enjoy podcasts on a variety of subjects via iTunes -- most of the ones I listen to are via NPR.
