"Any reviewer who expresses rage and loathing for a novel is preposterous. He or she is like a person who has put on full armor and attacked a hot fudge sundae."
I've been a big fan of Vonnegut's for years. I was deeply saddened by his passing in 2007. My first novel of his was "Breakfast of Champions",... once I read that I was hooked. He had a very creative way of blending social satire, dark humor and science fiction into his writing. His writing for me was always straightforward with very few wasted words. He was also an outspoken humanist, and in many ways a modern day Mark Twain.

I've always loved Vonnegut's wit even though I've haven't read much of his writing.
