Senator Mitch McConnell's ancestors owned black people as human property. America's wicked and evil crime of white on black slavery is not just about the past but the present. 

America's sin of slavery impacts the racial wealth gap today. The Republican Party draws a great amount of power from those areas in the South where black people were owned as slaves. The Party of Lincoln is now the Party of Jefferson Davis.

Like many white Americans Mitch McConnell's ancestors became very wealthy from exploiting and abusing black human property. America has still never had a full reckoning and a process of accountability and responsibility for this crime.
