On Tragedy

Since I was only an English minor I cannot pontificate authoritatively on the types of tragedies, but I find myself thinking about this subject this morning relative to today's politics.
We are certainly living a tragedy in the country these days. But what type of tragedy? Greek, Roman, Elizabethan, or one of the many others?
I suggest we are living a tragicomedy so far. I say so far as long as you know who doesn't find his big button and thankfully so far as a person who personally hasn't yet been directly harmed by the potential button-pusher but mindful of the millions who have been harmed so far.
Laugh occasionally while I still can. This is my strategy going forward but knowing that any day now the laughs may be extinguished.
