What we have here is a book about The Great Gatsby, everything you'd ever want to know about this novel. I am moving thru it quickly. It's interesting stuff, but too much information. There is a lot to think about in Fitzgerald's masterpiece. Too much stuff for me though.
The author of this book does explain one thing---the title. What's so great about The Great Gatsby? The answer is that he is great to the narrator Nick, which is an illusion, and the book is about illusions. Good enough. P. 201
Fitzgerald experimented with a number of titles. He settled for the right one.
One criticism of the novel is the vagueness of Gatsby. He is rather vague, isn't he? P. 206
