NY Times columnist, a liberal living in Nashville, who attended Auburn among other colleges offers a collection of her columns. Of particular interest are her comments on living blue in a red state and her point that The South is not monolithic. There are blue constituencies and activities in every red state.
She tells us that there are many Souths---red and blue, rural and urban, mountain and coast, black, white and brown.
She writes from her own experiences and the complexities of her homeland.
Many of her essays are about nature, I skim those. I wish I were a nature person but, alas, I am not a nature person.
