With the Bidens, everything starts with family. They are a tight-knit clan, something Joey would quickly learn after coming into the world on November 20, 1942, the same day that American troops marched up the coast of Africa to invade the Nazis. The Biden family was Irish, Catholic, and, therefore, large. Working class. Church every Sunday. Remember, you're a Biden, his Mother would tell Joey. You're not better than anybody else, but nobody is better than you. Joey would remember these words, and repeat them to others for decades.
