William Tecumseh Sherman is the most interesting American of the 19th Century. He did so many things. Along with Lincoln and Grant, he did more than anyone to win the war. It is amazing how he got around the entire country. He was eccentric; he was brilliant.
This author worked at Mississippi State now retired. I wish I had met him on campus.
