On Baseball

The greatest game in the world is baseball. If anyone tells you any different, they are deluded. If you believe rather in the gospel of a different game, then you should be accursed as the apostle Paul would say.
Baseball is admittedly a balancing act between tradition and the realities of the present backslidden world. The latest measure is waiving the need for a literal deliberate walk all to speed up the game. Whatever, but my point is why speed up the game?
Everything in our lives has been speeded up. Why not leave baseball alone at its own pace? Baseball is the game of choice for nerds. Just leave us nerds alone. Speed your own life up if you will and let us proceed at our own pace.
