We are told that Mark Twain wanted his complete biography to be published 100 years after his death. So here we go with volume 1 published by The Mark Twain Project at UC Berkeley. For the general reader like me, the book is a disappointment, for it is long, detailed, and not written to be read straight thru for reading pleasure. I may read parts of it, but I will not read it like a normal book. This book is more for the scholar than the lay reader.
