Emily Bronte - Wuthering Heights - Notes

Maybe the 4th reading.  Good time with the latest movie adaption releasing today.  From my 11th Grade  1967-68.

William Faulkner calls it his second favorite novel, second only to Tolstoy.

New movie adaption opens today.  Not sure if I desire to see it.

The Earnshaws and the Lintons.  How to keep them apart.

P. 57 Cathey stayed at Thrushcross Grange for five weeks until Christmas.  Geez, Louise!

P.58 Heathcliff makes an appearance at the House of Linton unbowed remaining himself.

P. 59 "You needn't have touched me," he answered, following eye, and snatching away his hand.  "I shall be as dirty as I please: and I like to be dirty, and I shall be dirty."

P. 62 Nelly tells Heathcliff to imagine a grand and exotic family history.

Heathcliff knows he can never be Edgar Linton.

Heathcliff has to come to terms with himself as he is.

P. 69 The birth of the last Earnshaw.
