It turns out that Americans don't take well to seeing their grocery prices skyrocket, masked fascist goons arresting and terrorizing innocent people, and blatant widespread corruption across the entire federal government. The MAGA era will soon end and then every single one of these crooks will be held accountable for what they've done. Don't count America out just yet!

More than AI to help, we need more common sense, horse sense, but unfortunately, you can't teach it, and it certainly isn't artificial but totally real and home grown.

The man is completely unattached from reality and as a friend said to me yesterday, "And now he wants to start testing nuclear weapons again, lying as he always does, claiming that other countries are doing it? What could possibly go wrong?" He reminds me of General Jack D. Ripper from the classic movie "Dr. Strangelove," claiming that the Russians are contaminating our precious bodily fluids. If they ever make a movie of his life, too bad Peter Sellers is not still around to play the lead.

Life Choices

Life usually boils down to four choices. 1) You can continue on your present course steady as you go 2) Continue on your present course only try to do better 3) Take a chance and change course with hope or 4) Give up, shrug your shoulders, and say what the heck taking the attitude I don't care anymore.

Your choice.

There are some intellectual games I will not play. Who wrote Shakespeare? I do not care. Plato or Aristotle? I'll stay out of that cave. Wordle? Not gonna happen. Crossword puzzles? Your thing, not mine. My favorite Dickens? Pick one. Why did the chicken cross the road? Give me a multiple choice and I'll pick one. Hamlet to be or not to be? Not worth a headache. But scholarly issues in American history? Yes, I'll go with you there.

I think about Jackie Robinson. I think about Roy Campanella. I still have his 1957 baseball card showing his hitting stance. The '57 Topps is the best of all-time. I think about Koufax and Drysdale. I remember fondly Drysdale's record setting scoreless streak before it was later broken. I remember that night in 1966, the Braves first yr in Atlanta with Koufax on the mound for the visitors. There was something like an hour rain delay. Koufax warmed in the bullpen and returned to finish the game after the delay, in the days when pitchers were expected to finish what they started. I made my way to the bullpen to watch Koufax warm up. His breaking ball was incredible. It was then I learn to appreciate major league hitting. I don't know how they ever put the bat on the ball! I remember manager Tommy Lasorda, the epitome at the time of Dodger blue. Roger Kahn's "The Boys of Summer." Dem Bums in Brooklyn. I was in Brooklyn in 1972. Ebbets Field was long demolished, but I saw where it once stood. Baseball is tradition for people of my gen. No comparison to any other sport

I am always willing to listen if you have something intelligent & interesting to say; otherwise, I am not interested in pointless smalltalk and gibberish. Sorry.
